Meet the Directors
This company is proud of the fact that our directors have to identify as disabled. Over time, this has enabled us to draw on an amazing resource of experts by experience. Part of the role is to listen to others and advocate such that the products and services we produce are unique and tailored to meet the individual lifestyle choices of our customers.
There is too much to write below here, but listen to their voices and look at life through their lens.
Anne White, MBE
Chair of Directors, Lead for Quality & CIC
Anne White MBE is our current chair. She has been a disabled activist all her life and was recognised by King Charles himself in 2024 with an MBE. Anne believes in the rights of others being paramount and has worked tirelessly in Thurrock for over 50 years. She has a deep interest in the quality of services, ensuring all keep to task and work hard at improvements. As an experienced chair, Anne has led on many issues that have arisen in Thurrock. The local CVS building (the Beehive) was one of her visions and there are many examples of where she has changed things for the benefit of others. For example, dropped kerbs in Grays, houses built to Lifetime Homes standards and the provision of an accessible transport service in TRANSVol. Finally, she was a keen table tennis player and only just missed out on the Paralympics in Seoul 1988.
Sandeep Singh Saini
Lead for Health, Projects & Training
Otherwise known as Sunny, he is a man on a mission. Being born in the 1980’s means his life experiences are better than most, however living with Down Syndrome make him an ideal expert by experience. Growing up via mainstream school gives Sunny a unique take on the world. He volunteers as a self-advocate within the community and was recognised by the Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner as a hate crime ambassador for his work in helping people with learning disabilities stay safe in Essex. His work with us involves leading on specific business areas such as Health, Training and Projects.
Michelle Wall
Lead for Wealth & Interdependent Living
One of the original directors, Michelle has an interesting life experience that has been a rich source of advice on interdependent living. She has a keen interest in supporting staff to understand what teamwork looks like and supporting others to work well. Her own community experience has enabled us to develop products that support people in unique ways. Having gone to a special school, Michelle is interested to ensure that the young people of today have a positive transition. She leads on the specific business areas of Wealth and Interdependent Living.
Kevin Land
Lead for Staff & Opportunities
Kevin is a survivor of mainstream education who came to us originally as a customer. Recognising him for the capable individual that he is, has enabled him to reach the dizzying heights of both Director and Employee. Kevin has a quiet demeanour that simply means he is in deep thought about the ways in which we can support staff to be better at their jobs. Living interdependently has given him an understanding of living in the community without formal support. He leads on the specific business area of Staff and Day Opportunities.
David Reynolds
Lead for Thurrock Autistic Community Together (TACT)
David wasn’t diagnosed with autism until he was in his 30s. This means he is a survivor of a mainstream life that had been difficult for him. As an expert by experience, David has a witty insight into the world of hidden impairment. As a director of Thurrock Lifestyle Solutions CIC (TLS), he will act as an advocate, willing to ask questions and provide challenges to others. A keen historian, he engages with the community of Thurrock through a cultural historian identity which embraces the arts and culture. David is a keen photographer himself who leads the business with Thurrock Autistic Community Together (TACT).
